Gerard Essey is the practice principal. He graduated in 1982 from the Cumberland College of Health Sciences, Sydney University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy. Gerard has extensive experience from his work in public and private hospitals around Sydney and in many corporate workplaces and with sporting organisations. Gerard also served the Australian Physiotherapy Association for over 15 years on various committees and councils – including terms as Vice President of the NSW Branch Council and Treasurer of the NSW Private Practitioners’ Group.
At Lidcombe Physiotherapy, we treat all muscle, joint and nerve conditions. Assessment and treatment is provided by Gerard who has over 25 years of experience and expertise in the treatment of virtually every musculoskeletal condition from minor sprains and strains to complex neurological and orthopaedic surgical conditions.
Lidcombe Physiotherapy does not employ junior or inexperienced physiotherapists, so all patients benefit from Gerard’s expertise every session and receive the same quality of care and commitment. This allows for continuity, consistency and personalised attention to enable the best possible outcome.
Many medical specialists and general practitioners refer patients to Lidcombe Physiotherapy for treatment. Gerard works collaboratively with them to achieve an optimal result for each patient.
Private patients, however, do not require a doctor’s referral to attend for physiotherapy treatment.
